Ashley + Garret - Beech Mountain Club Wedding - Asheville, North Carolina Photographer

What a absolutely amazing celebration Ashley + Garret's Wedding at the Beech Mountain Club was! I absolutely LOVE the mountains and people who are utterly in love so as an Asheville, North Carolina Wedding Photographer, I knew I had to photograph their sweet nuptials. The two kept it simple, no wedding party, just the two of them saying their vows in front of their friends and family with mountains as the perfect backdrop. 

The two met in New York at an indoor volleyball tournament, so it's no wonder that Ashley first noticed his skills in the sport they both love and this athleticism, and she keeps him on track! "I love her need to always be active. I would definitely choose to spend more time relaxing in a hammock, but with her always pushing to be active and outdoors, I always end up having a better time" Garret says. "I knew I wanted to marry her the first time I visited her in SC after she moved. The way I felt leaving, knowing I wasn't going to see her for months made me realize I couldn't imagine life without her so it was an extremely easy decision." 

When did you know he was "the one"?: 
"We were playing beach volleyball in the summer on the same team and he knew that I always came there straight from work. When I arrived to the beach courts, he opened up a bag and cooler revealing that he'd cooked and packed me dinner and also brought me water and Gatorade. He didn't want me to start playing volleyball right away without eating dinner first. It was so thoughtful but actions like this come very naturally to him. He always puts others before himself. I knew that if we were together, he'd always take care of me."
