Why you should do a first look on your Wedding Day! Raleigh, NC Photographer

You're nervous. Today is one of the biggest days in your life. You are getting married! As a Wedding Photographer, I am by your side all day. Wether you are getting married in Raleigh, Wilmington, Fayetteville or anywhere else in North Carolina and beyond, I will be right by your side, shadowing you and occasionally holding your hand to help calm the nerves, as I have done with many brides before. Will he be there? Will everything go alright? Everything is going crazy around you with last minute preparations and all you really want is just to see your partner. Why not?

The first look is a great way for you and your partner to see each other, calm each others nerves and most importantly of all, to spent a couple of precious minutes together, before all the craziness begins. It's a small, intimate moment, just the two of you, on a day that is supposed to be just for the two of you. A lot of my couples have opted for a first look for multiple reasons. But the reason that stands out most is exactly that one. 

It is your wedding day. Why shouldn't you have an intimate moment with your soul mate? 

Non of the couple's that opted for a first look have regretted it - they told me they loved it and were so happy that they did and that this was one of the best moments of the entire wedding - if not the best. Enjoy your husband looking at you for the first time, just the two of you. Talk, admire one another. Tell each other how excited you are, and exchange letters for one another. 

The Photographs are also a good reason for a first look. Not just the one of the two of you seeing each other for the first time, but also because after worths, we can get many family photos and pictures of you and the bridal party as well as portraits. That way, you won't have a crazy long cocktail hour, where your guests get bored because you are busy with photographs. While its always a good idea to have additional portraits after the wedding, you'll be able to join your guests for the cocktail party and get some of those yummy appetizers!
