Just Claying around is a Date Night Idea in Fayetteville, North Carolina
As a Wedding Photographer in Fayetteville, North Carolina, I get to meet a lot of young couples that come from all over the country. "There is nothing to do", I hear so often, and I wondered if this is right. That is why I want to start this new series on my blog, where I test out date night (or day) Ideas, different shops, restaurants and things to do to tell you whats going on around town and for ideas for your date night!
These are some of the colors you can choose from at Just claying around in Fayetteville, North Carolina
Our first stop was "Just Clayin' around" on South McPhearson Church Road! The cute little shop offers many clay figurines, as well as plates, mugs and much more to paint yourself! While my husband and I are both not very good with our hands and while we love being creative, being creative is sadly not in our repertoire, but we went there with a desire to have fun and paint, and no expectations to the outcome, just to enjoy the ride. I picked a unicorn, because well, I love unicorns, and Collin picked a little pug bank (a puggy bank, if you will!).

There was a nice lady at a counter at the other end of the store who explained the process after we picked our figures. On the opposite wall we were able to choose our desired colors, water and brushes waited for us at the tables. She told us to make sure we would use multiple coats of the paint, to get the best result for colors.
Our Date Night at Just Claying Around
There was 80s music in the background while we were painting and honestly the entire thing was super relaxing. Just concentrating on getting the colors right and precisely painting them on, talking and thinking about how to make the little figurine look was a lot of fun. We spent around 2.5 Hours there and after we were done, we gave the figurines to the lady at the desk. She explained that she was gonna glaze and burn them, and we would be able to pick them up next week.
We spent around $45 Dollars there, which includes the colors, the glazing & burning and of course the figurine. They do offer Military on Saturdays, so mark your calenders!
Overall, we really liked it. It was super relaxing and a good value for 2.5 Hours of fun! If you have kids, its also a great idea for them! They have small and big figurines, so the cost and the amount of time you spent there will depend on what you pick and how detailed you make it!
