All Saints Chapel & The Glass Box Wedding in Raleigh North Carolina

Gold, Glitter and the City. This Raleigh Wedding was absolutely amazing and touched my big city soul so I was beyond grateful to have been the Wedding Photographer for this celebration. The bridal party got ready at the Glass Box in Downtown Raleigh right on Fayetteville Street, where I had also taken Jennifer's Bridal Portraits a couple of weeks before the big day. Click here if you would like to see them - spoiler alert, she is one GORGEOUS bride. The Girls were drinking champagne while getting ready, in front of the beautiful skyline of Raleigh as their back drop. The metallics theme was something I absolutely loved as well - miss matched, sequined bridesmaids dresses and the brides bouquet was studded with brooches from different family members. The bride herself was wearing a beautiful mermaid fitted gown with a lace neck.

My favorite Moment was getting to the altar and John whispering
"You really look beautiful."

Their ceremony & reception was in a beautiful historic landmark, the All Saints Chapel in Raleigh North Carolina. It is a beautifully restored chapel and amazing Venue. The candle lit ceremony was super emotional.

"My favorite thing about the wedding would have to be when the doors opened and I got to see Jennifer in her dress for the very first time.  I was very adamant about not seeing her before the wedding at all.  I wanted it to be a complete surprise to me of how she looked, which she blew my mind.  Everybody had been kidding me for months, saying that I was going to cry once I saw her in her dress and I just kidded right back saying no way.  I actually did believe I would not cry since I'm typically not a very emotional guy.  I was dead wrong.  As soon as those doors opened and I saw how beautiful she looked, I couldn't hold back my tears of joy as I was thinking "I'm marrying the most beautiful woman in the world."

At the reception, all 3 of Jennifer's brothers danced with her, to a song they picked without Jennifer knowing. While the first two were very sweet and emotional, the last one surprised everyone with "Single Ladies" by Beyonce, which encouraged the Bridesmaids to jump in and dance with them. So much fun! The food was amazing and the donut desert table was such a fun idea! After the reception we got to take the shot Jennifer had been telling me about forever. She had dreamed about it since she had first moved to Raleigh, she told me. A kiss after dark with the love of her life, in the middle of Fayetteville Street. What an amazing ending to such a very Raleigh Wedding!

"I am most looking forward to being able to experience all types of things with my one true love and starting a family with her so that I can provide the same joys in life for them that my family did for me.  I want a family with her that I can help support and take care of and call my own."

Jennifer & John's is a modern romance - the two met on tinder! After talking about their jobs and hometowns and finishing school. However, she blew him off for weeks and refused to go on a date with him. "In a combination of fate, I ended up near his hometown the week after my graduation, so I sent him a message saying I had graduated and was in his hometown! Luckily, he responded even after weeks of my cold shoulder and asked me on a date the following Wednesday. We went on our second one soon after and within 2 weeks we were "official" if you will. The rest is history." Jennifer told me.

John proposed to Jennifer in November 2015, right after thanksgiving at the tailgate before a football game. His sister unrolled a sign that said "Marry Me Jennifer", as she turned around, John was down on one knee, telling her what he had thought of for so long.

"She was crying too much to give me an answer once I was done.  I had to ask her a second time for her to finally answer me with a YES."

Congratulations, Jennifer & John - it was amazing and I am so grateful that you chose me to be your wedding Photographer!
