Top 5 Oahu Beaches! - Hawaii Couples Photographer

Oahu has so many freaking beaches - well, duh, it’s an Island after all! So when you get to the Island, you might be confused on where to put down your beach towel and dive into the waves. No worries, I gotchu!

Waimanalo Beach

This beach is exactly what you dream about when you think Tropical Island. Miles of white, soft sand. Crystal Clear Turquoise water. Do I need to say more? Because of its size, it’s also guaranteed that it doesn’t get too crowded and you get a great spot! It is great for boogie boarding, fishing and sunbathing. Keep an eye on nonexperienced swimmers, because the waters can be a tad bit rougher at times!

Sunset Beach!

This Beach sits on the North Shore of Hawaii and is, like the name says, perfect for a romantic walk or picnic at sunset. In the summer, the waters are calm and clear, making it perfect for anyone! In the winter, however, the waves roll in and it turns into the surfer spot - swimmers beware! When you are there, you need to stop for a snack at the famous sunrise shack! They have lots of yummy foods, and the cute little stand will make for amazing Instagram Shots!

Waikiki Beach

Of course, no list about Hawaiian Beaches is complete without mentioning the famous Waikiki Beach. Perfectly situated in the Heart of Waikiki, it is just a short walk if you are staying in the area. The waters are calm and you can rent surf boards and snorkels right there to complete your Hawaiian Experience!

Kahana Beach Park

Nestled between lush green mountains, the Kahana Beach Park is a welcome escape from people. It’s usually pretty empty and the waters are super calm! If you reserve ahead of time, you can even camp there! Waking up in the morning and running straight into the water?! Yes Please!

Makapu’u Beach Park

This is my personal favorite! Makapu’u Beach Park has volcanic rocks, white sand and crystal clear water. All that, with a backdrop of lush mountains and greenery. Its the best of everything! Be warned tho, the waves can get quite crazy there, especially in the winter!
