5 Reasons for a Spring Wedding - Raleigh North Carolina Wedding Photographe
So you just got engaged - the first step in Wedding Planning is figuring out what season you want your wedding to be in. As a little engaged lady myself, I chose to have a Spring Wedding - and here is why you should too!
Outside Ceremony? No Problem!
Outside ceremonies are super popular and spring is the perfect season in North Carolina to tie that knot out doors. It’s not too hot, yet not too cold, so you can have your guests enjoy the outdoors with freezing or sweating to death. But not just the ceremony can be out doors - a tented reception is such a sweet idea!
2. Get a Convertible for your Get-a-Way Car.
Who doesn’t love the warm spring air on your skin and a breeze running thru your hair when you take a late night drive with the windows down? You can see the stars, hear crickets chirp while listening to your favorite songs. You don’t have a convertable in your day to day life? Thats no problem - this is your wedding day. Make it special - so why not rent a nice vintage convertible? It will make for amazing photos and a special way to end your wedding day!
3. Don’t let the weather affect your event!
You know the saying about april showers? First off, rain on your wedding day is supposed to be luck, but I know that it can be a total bummer. Don’t worry tho - as a wedding photographer, I am prepared for most everything. A couple of drops of rain won’t defer me from giving you amazing shots and if you’re up for it, I am more than happy to play in the rain. However, I also always bring clear umbrellas with me to every wedding so we can rock the out doors no matter rain or shine!
4. Spring brings everything new - and a new adventure.
I don’t know about you, but spring just screams new beginnings to me. I always get these butterflies, so many ideas and so much energy to go and explore and do new things. What’s a better new beginning than marrying the love of your life? Exactly, none! As you two embark into this adventure of marriage together,
5. Everything is in bloom!
This one is pretty obvious - but if you choose an outdoor location in a country or garden setting, you can save some major coins because nature will do the decorating for you. With extended hours of sunshine, green grass, and colorful flowers making their long-awaited debut, there's a lot to work with when putting all of the plans together! A little accessory on your napkin like thyme, rosemary or lavender is a great way to say it’s spring! Gardens and flowers will be in bloom. And who doesn't want flowers EVERYWHERE at their wedding? My dream idea: branches of cherry blossoms. Also all the peonies!
